Does the Pixel 7 support eSIM?

The Pixel 7 can install a travel eSIM alongside your usual SIM. Two more things to check: the model sold in your region supports eSIM, and the phone isn’t locked to a carrier.

Check your Pixel 7 in 30 seconds

  1. Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs.
  2. If you can add a SIM with “Download a SIM instead?” or “Add eSIM”, your Pixel supports eSIM.
  3. Make sure the phone isn’t locked to a carrier (Settings → About phone, or ask your carrier).

Install a travel eSIM on the Pixel 7

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi.
  2. Go to Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add SIM, and scan the QR code from your eSIM Otter email.
  3. Name the eSIM (for example “Travel”) and keep your usual SIM for calls and texts.
  4. When you land, choose the travel eSIM for mobile data and turn on Roaming for it.
